Go MAD Giveaway

Andy Gilbert, Group Managing Director of Go MAD Thinking, entered the Poker Face TV quiz show to demonstrate the power of the Go MAD Thinking System. From over 10,000 people he successfully made the final three. Now he has decided to make a difference and give away his £65,000 prize winnings to help 1,000 people with £65 each.

However, you cannot ask for money to help yourself or support other charity fundraising, religious or political activities. This blog is about challenging you to use your thinking skills to make a positive difference, preferably sustainable, and help others to "Pay It Forward". What difference could you make? Please post your requests and comments.

How motivated are you to help others?

Last night I was runner-up in two categories of the local business awards and, whilst it would have been nice to win, I reflected on how easily many people give up if they do not initially achieve their goals.

Sometimes people need to involve others more. Who could you possibly help to achieve their goals? How could you match my £65 with time and effort (or money) to help someone else? How motivated are you to help others?

Dear Andy,

You are so kind. I wish you could actually see the difference that this wave of generosity has created. It has brought this community to life. Marion has at least 20 ladies knitting hats for the babies in the third world and some of these are friends of friends of friends. It's amazing. They are well on the way to achieving their goal!

Thanks again from us all.

Cheers Myrah

Dear Andy,
My name is Adriana and I am a dental nurse. I would like to request the money to buy an air humidifyer to cleanse the air in my surgery as the windows do not open. This will reduce any viruses and benefit all staff and patients.
I hope you would see the benefit in this small but useful piece of equipment.
Keep up the good work.
Adriana

Hi Andy,
We have had an idea to send some nearly new baby clothes to an orphanage our local church has contacts with in Romania. I have asked at the post office and we can send up to 11kg.
We have been to some nearly new sales in the area to sell our stuff and have noticed that so much is unsold and ends up back in the loft or under the bed to gather dust. We would use the 65.00for postage. Thank you for helping us to think about how we can help others and not just about the money.
Yours hopefully,
Rita

Hi Adriana,

I agree that an air humidifier would benefit staff and patients. However, I feel strongly that this is the responsibility of an employer to provide safe and clean working conditions. Hence, I am sorry to decline your request and recommend you talk to your boss about this.

Hi Rita,

I support your cause and will give you £65 if you can involve others to match my £65 so you can send twice as many clothes to Romania.
